Customized client programs
We work with families to develop customized care plans to meet our clients’ specific needs.
For each particular family’s needs, we find the person with the skill set and personality to match our client’s individual needs. If we can’t find the right person, we’ll let you know.
And if, for any reason, there is a problem with the match between you and our choice of caregiver, we will address it immediately and specifically.
When an emergency occurs, we have contingency plans to ensure a seamless transition from one caregiver to another. Our detailed care plans, among other things, make this possible.
Caregiving services – non medical
Special Needs caregiving services can be part-time, full-time, or around the clock. They can include any or all of the tasks listed below.
- Companionship and conversation: Our caregiving extends far beyond what you might expect from a companionship service. We engage, chat, record family histories, maintain scrapbooks, read aloud, watch movies, monitor television usage, play mind-stimulating games, participate in crafts, plan visits and outings, provide transportation, make appointments, escort clients to their appointments and events, maintain calendars, send reminders for birthdays and other special events, care for pets, water household plants, answer telephones, and many other services of this nature.
- General errands: We help with the shopping, oversee household deliveries, run errands, drop off and pick up dry cleaning, even drop off and pick up prescriptions.
- Medication reminders: Our caregivers can remind clients that it’s time to take their medicine.
- Light housekeeping: These caregiving services include a variety of housekeeping chores. Among other things, we do the laundry, iron, dust, vacuum, change bed linens and make beds, clean the kitchen and bathrooms, organize and clean closets, take out garbage, and supervise home maintenance.
- Personal care: We wash and dry hair, shave, assist with bathing and toileting, select clothing, help with overall grooming and dental care, as well as encourage and help with ambulation and exercise.
- Meal planning, meal preparation, and clean up: To help our clients eat healthy, nutritious meals, we record and arrange recipes, prepare shopping lists, grocery shop, prepare meals for now and later, assist with feeding, monitor overall diet, and check food expiration dates.
- Care and rehabilitation: We can follow clients to care and rehabilitation facilities, so that they can continue to receive the same level of care.
