Jeannie McCullough Stiles, RN, PHN
Jeannie Stiles is a fourth-generation San Franciscan who is now a Tiburon resident. With a 25-year history as a registered nurse and public health nurse, her work experience includes intensive care, high risk labor and delivery, hospice, and home care. Jeannie also provides nursing services for disabled students within Bay Area school systems.
During Jeannie’s years of dedication in healthcare, she has frequently heard about the various problems people have in finding safe, reliable caregivers. Because of this, she decided to utilize her nursing skills and establish Special Needs with her husband, Douglas E. Stiles, CPA. Today Special Needs offers certified nursing assistants, caregivers, companions, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, home health aides, and other professional staff members.
Competent, caring staff
Providing families with trusted caregivers and nursing assistance is our mission.
All our staff – companions, caregivers, certified nursing assistants, home health aides, licensed vocational nurses, and registered nurses – are employed and paid by Special Needs. Because of our philosophy, we attract an exceptionally high-quality staff, many of whom have been with us for years.
We go “above and beyond” for your safety and well-being.
Before hiring an employee, we perform an extensive background check.
- We contract with two outside agencies to perform independent checks:
- Criminal -- Department of Justice and the FBI
- Civil – Department of Motor Vehicles and Social Security
- We check all professional and personal references.
- We do a gut check. We look for employees who want to work with our client base and who have heart and empathy.
We will only hire a caregiver that we would place in our own home to care for one of our loved ones.
